Veneers at Key Smile

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front of your teeth. They correct shape, colour and small alignment issues with minimal preparation of the natural tooth.

  • Corrects shape and colour
  • Custom-designed for your face
  • Stain resistant
  • Completed in a short stay

Who Is It For?

Veneers are for patients whose teeth are basically healthy but do not look the way they want. They correct discolouration that does not respond to whitening, small chips, uneven edges, minor gaps and slightly rotated teeth. They are a common choice before a wedding or an important occasion because the change is visible and quick. Veneers are not a substitute for orthodontics: if your teeth are significantly crowded, aligners or braces first will give a healthier and more stable result, and we will explain this honestly rather than covering the problem.

How the Treatment Works

We start with a digital smile design, using photographs and a scan to show you the proposed shape and proportions before any treatment begins. Preparation is minimal, typically around half a millimetre of enamel, and in some cases none at all. A digital scan is sent to our laboratory, where the veneers are individually layered. You wear temporaries in the meantime, which also let you test the new shape in daily life. The final veneers are bonded with a light-cured adhesive once you approve them.

Your Treatment in İzmir

Veneer treatment usually takes six to eight days from the first appointment to bonding, which fits comfortably into a single visit. You will normally attend four appointments during that period, leaving plenty of time to see the city between them. The written quote you receive before travelling states the number of veneers, the material and the total cost. Transfers and hotel support are arranged by our team.

Aftercare and Longevity

Well-made veneers typically last ten to fifteen years before they need replacing. The bond is strong, but veneers are thin and can fracture under extreme force, so a night guard is recommended if you grind your teeth. They resist staining better than natural enamel, though the exposed tooth surface around them can still discolour. Normal brushing and flossing are enough; there is no special cleaning routine.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much of my tooth is removed?

Veneers require minimal preparation — usually only a very thin layer of enamel is shaped.

How long do veneers last?

With proper care, veneers typically last 10–15 years before they need replacing.

Can veneers fix crooked teeth?

Veneers can correct minor alignment and spacing issues. Significant crowding may need orthodontic treatment first.
